To find this waterfall you will have to go for a hike in Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park. The hike is not very long. If you walk slowly it will take around 1 hour to reach Svartifoss but I suggest to explore the area around. The park itself has many beautiful views. You can find a lot of other small waterfalls on the way.
When you will reach Svartifoss you will see dark lava formation surrounding the waterfall. This is one of strangest waterfalls in Iceland (because of surroundings) but it’s definately worth a visit
Skogafoss waterfall
Skogafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland. It drops from 60 metres. Finding this waterfall is easy, you can even spot it going from highway. And if you are going near it make shure that you have clothes to change because you will feel like after heavy rain.

Gljufarfoss is one of the hidden gems of Iceland. If you don’t know where to look you will miss it beside it is only 500 metres away from one of the tourist attraction center
